Welcome to Duncan Fire Departments Web Site;
Duncan Fire Department services the Town of Duncan that is
located two miles off the I-85 corridor between Greenville and Spartanburg,
Exit 63, within Spartanburg County. Duncan Fire Department currently
Employs 3 Full-time personnel working from 8:00a.m. till 5:00p.m.; 3
Part-time personnel working from 4:00p.m. till 12:00a.m.; and approximately
35 volunteers. We are Proud that Duncan Fire Department has a rating
of 3 from ISO. We also take great pride in the vast amount of training
that all our personal has and continues to receive. While most of
Duncan Fire Department is volunteers, all member are required to meet
National Standards of training and continue such evolutions within
departmental training. The upper management of Duncan Fire Department
has exhibited excellent forethought in regards to growth, fiscal needed, and
equipment allocation. With the collaboration of the county, town, and
business owners, the equipment that is used is "state of the art" ensuring
excellent response times and efficient mitigation of emergency situations.
While Life safety is our primary focus; with fire prevention programs there
has been a significant decline in property loss. Duncan Fire
Department does and will continue to have a proactive approach to the fire
service in all aspects.
